Forever Young BBL™
“Study Finds Evidence that BBL Promotes Youthful Skin on a Molecular Level”
What is Forever Young BBL™ ?
Forever Young BroadBand Light (BBL)™ is a powerful device equipped with intense pulsed light (IPL) laser technology. This uses broad spectrum light that targets specific areas of the skin — chromophores, or skin components, that absorb light.
Forever Young BBL™ is an innovative technology that is non-invasively used to treat and prevent various signs of aging and sun-damaged skin.
How does Forever Young BBL™ work?
This laser works by delivering focused light in the IPL wavelength to the upper and middle layers of the skin. This light becomes heat energy that damages target chromophores such as protein, blood vessels, pigments, and hair, triggering changes in the skin leading to new collagen formation and elimination of small blood vessels, redness, unwanted pigments and hair.
This results in an improved and rejuvenated skin, with better texture, more even skin tone, and increased elasticity — creating youthful, more vibrant, and smoother skin!
What skin conditions can Forever Young BBL™ treat?
Forever Young BBL™ can treat and even delay the appearance of skin aging, like age spots, freckles, telangiectasia, cherry angiomas, dull skin, and fine wrinkles. Other skin conditions such as hyperpigmentation, persistent flushing, rosacea, unwanted hair, and active acne can also be treated.
What to expect?
Consult our cosmetic expert team first to know if the procedure is right for you.
A series of 3 to 6 sessions is usually recommended for most of the treatment indications. No pain medication or anesthesia is required for most procedures, but patients may feel a slight pinch or snapping of a rubber band. Depending on the procedure done, downtime is minimal — most people are able to go back to work after each treatment.
Most patients are able to tolerate the procedure well, and may have some transient slight redness or swelling in the treated area, and brown spots may appear darker before they start to fade. This usually resolves in 7 to 10 days. Microdermabrasion may follow 5 to 7 days after the procedure to speed up resolution.
Post-procedure care is very important, together with sun avoidance and sun protection, including using sunscreens.
Forever Young BBL™ is available to our clients in the Peterborough, Lindsay, Cobourg, Oshawa, and Belleville regions.
ProFractional XC Resurfacing™
What is ProFractional XC Resurfacing™ ?
ProFractional XC Resurfacing™ is an ablative laser device that provides our clients with excellent skin resurfacing, with minimal downtime.
The SKiN Laser Clinic’s clients have enjoyed outstanding results from this state-of-the-art laser resurfacing technology, with benefits such as minimal discomfort, shorter healing times, and tuneable settings that can be individualized to create either a subtle or striking ablative effect.
How does ProFractional XC Resurfacing™ work?
ProFractional XC Resurfacing™ uses the Er:YAG 2940 nm wavelength, which ablates very small-diameter channels into the skin and leaves the surrounding skin intact for a faster recovery. The treatment stimulates the healing process, leading to new collagen and elastin formation, and increasing skin turgor and thickness. The depth of ablation can be adjusted depending on the skin problem and the individual’s concern for downtime.
What skin conditions can ProFractional XC Resurfacing™ treat?
This laser treatment can be used for a variety of skin conditions like acne scars, age spots, dull skin, large pores, melasma, milia, neck bands and rings, rejuvenation, sagging skin, and wrinkles.
What to expect?
Consult our cosmetic expert team first to determine if this procedure is appropriate for your skin needs.
Results are usually observed even after 1 session, although the number of treatment sessions will depend on the severity of the skin problem.
After this treatment, patients will have some swelling that usually subsides in a few days, followed by mild to moderate redness, pinpoint bleeding, or feeling like they have a sunburn. Most patients feel comfortable enough to resume work and apply make-up a few days after the procedure. Complete healing may take several weeks to a few months.
Post-procedure care is given, and patients are advised to avoid sun exposure and to use sun protection (sunscreens!) As healing ensues, a tightening effect is felt throughout the treated areas. Healing and collagen regeneration gradually occurs over the next 4 to 6 months following the procedure.
ProFractional XC Resurfacing™ is available to our clients in the Peterborough, Lindsay, Cobourg, Oshawa, and Belleville regions.

How does Exilis Elite™ work?

Depending on the location and pre-treatment condition of the skin, treatment can range from 2 to 6 sessions, typically in 1 to 2 week intervals. There is usually no downtime, but patients may have some mild, transient redness after the procedure. Skin tightening is usually noted immediately after one session, with maximum benefit noted up to 6 months after the procedure. Treatment is safe — with no pain, no medications required, and almost zero side effects.
Exilis Elite™ is available to our clients in the Peterborough, Lindsay, Cobourg, Oshawa, and Belleville regions.
What is Halo Laser™?
As you age, and the longer sun exposure you have had, skin changes start to develop making you look tired and older. Halo Laser™ is the first in hybrid fractional laser (HFL) technology that ablatively and non-ablatively resurfaces the skin, giving you clearer, smoother, brighter, younger, and more beautiful skin.
This laser produces precise, reproducible, and visible results that address a variety of skin conditions. It is easy to use, has a very good safety profile, and offers a lasting solution to your skin problems. Halo Laser™ offers customizable and flexible treatments, and maximized results without any additional downtime.
How does Halo Laser™ work?
Halo Laser™ is both an ablative and non-ablative laser. The two different wavelengths can be used to target varying treatment areas, with different depths and intensities. The combination of adjustable ablative and non-ablative treatments creates a range of effects, from gentle to a more powerful resurfacing treatment outcome. This gives patients the benefit of getting the effects of an ablative procedure with the healing rate of a non-ablative laser treatment.
What skin conditions can Halo Laser™ treat?
Halo Laser™ treats signs of aging and sun damage, like age or sun spots, dull skin, neck bands and rings, sagging skin, and wrinkles. It also improves the appearance of acne scars and large pores, reduces hyperpigmentation like melasma, and evens the skin tone.
What to expect?
Consult our cosmetic expert team first to determine if this procedure is appropriate for your skin.
Since Halo Laser™ treatments can be customized to fit your needs, the number of sessions and level of treatment aggressiveness may vary depending on your goals. Topical anesthesia may be applied and the integrated cooling technology makes your treatment almost pain free. A motion tracking technology measures the treatment area and makes sure that the skin is evenly treated.
The procedure is generally well-tolerated with minimal warmth and some pricking sensation felt. Post-procedure, most patients may continue to feel some warmth for several minutes. Post-procedure care is given, and patients are advised to avoid sun exposure and to use sun protection (e.g. sunscreens, protective clothing).
After the first 24 hours, the skin may start to peel, while some patients may see very little change. A lightly bronzed appearance is noted after 2 to 3 days, followed by skin peeling by day 3 or 4. Results are seen in 2 to 5 days after treatment, and the skin will continue to regenerate and improve over time. Maximum benefit is usually observed after 2 to 4 weeks for pigmentation concerns, and will still continue to improve. A single Halo Laser™ treatment provides you with long lasting effects, with better looking skin achieved with additional sessions.
Halo Laser™ is available to our clients in the Peterborough, Lindsay, Cobourg, Oshawa, and Belleville regions.

How does MicroLaserPeel® work?
MicroLaserPeel® is an erbium laser that selectively and precisely targets the most superficial layer of the skin, removing old and damaged skin cells. As the healing process takes place, new and healthy skin cells are regenerated making the skin look better and fresher.
What skin conditions can MicroLaserPeel® treat?

Downtime is minimal, and patients can start wearing makeup in 2 to 4 days after treatment.
