RADIOFREQUENCY (Exilis Ultra)

Radiofrequency devices use electrical energy that creates a selective and controlled heating of the skin and subcutaneous tissue. This thermal damage triggers collagen structural changes and new collagen formation in the deeper layers of the skin, creating a lifting, tightening and firming effect on your skin and a reduction in fat deposits.

Exilis Ultra is one of the latest radiofrequency devices combined with ultrasound and a cooling system for a safer and non-surgical solution to lax skin and stubborn body fat. Reduce your fine lines and wrinkles, double chin or neck lines, and get the well-sculpted body you’ve always wanted with our clinically tested and scientifically proven radiofrequency treatments.

Results are immediate and easily visible even after the first session, with greater satisfaction in succeeding sessions (especially when combined with healthy, balanced diet and active lifestyle) after 2 to 3 months. Continued improvement can be seen up to 6 months, and may require maintenance sessions.

Warning: Before a radiofrequency treatment, consult your doctor first to determine if it is safe for you, particularly if you have a serious medical condition, or are taking prescription medications such as oral isotretinoin. Exilis Ultra is not advised for patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding, with active skin infection, or external or implanted metal or electronic devices (such as dental braces, pacemakers, metal hip joints, etc.).

CHEMICAL PEELS (Cosmetic Peels)

Chemical or cosmetic peels are chemical solutions that are used to exfoliate and peel off a portion of the skin, causing it to regenerate. This procedure gives you a fresher, smoother, brighter, and more even-toned skin.

Chemical peels such as alpha-hydroxy acids (glycolic acid, lactic acid), salicylic acid, trichloroacetic acid, mandelic acid, tretinoin, Jessner’s solution, phenol peels, and blended peels are used in combination with other treatments in the management of skin conditions like acne, acne scars, actinic keratosis, age spots, dull skin, hyperpigmentation, large pores, melasma, rosacea, sagging skin, and wrinkles.

There are 3 types of peels: superficial, medium, and deep peels. They each have different indications because they differ in the layers of skin penetrated, which depend on the chemical solution used, concentration, application time, number of layers applied, and several other factors.

Cosmetic peels are generally safe and well-tolerated. Depending on the strength of the chemical agent used, peeling may cause stinging, redness, sensitivity or irritation, itching, and even crusting. Because of that, healing may take a week to a few weeks to complete. Post-procedure skin care which includes sun protection and sun avoidance are very important.

Warning: Before getting a cosmetic peel, consult your doctor first to determine if it is safe for you, particularly if you are taking certain medications like isotretinoin or birth control pills, applying prescription skin medications or skin-lightening agents. A cosmetic peel is not advised for patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding, those with active skin infection or dermatitis, and those with darker skin types.

MICRONEEDLING (Micropen)

Microneedling is becoming an increasingly popular, minimally invasive option for skin rejuvenation, scar and skin texture enhancement, and transcutaneous drug delivery. Micropen makes use of an automated device with very fine, small needles that delivers precise injury to the skin.

Microneedling activates wound healing and a remodeling process that generates new collagen and elastic fibers, and increases dermal skin thickness. This procedure addresses the signs of aging, resulting in skin that is lighter, more even, firmer, smoother, and more youthful. Skin surface imperfections due to acne scars or large pores are also targeted, enhancing the appearance of your skin.

Microneedling also enhances the penetration of other topically applied treatments like hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, and platelet rich plasma, optimizing their benefits.

This procedure is generally safe and well-tolerated. Local anesthesia may be applied prior to the procedure to lessen the pain. There is very minimal downtime and low risk of possible side effects, with some redness, mild swelling, and some bruising that should resolve in a short period of time. The number and frequency of treatments range from 3 to 5 sessions every 4 to 6 weeks, with results seen in 3 to 6 months. Multiple sessions are often necessary to achieve the best results.

Warning: Before a microneedling procedure, consult your doctor first to determine if it is safe for you, particularly if you are taking certain prescription medications or certain herbal supplements. Micropen is not advised for patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding, those with active skin infection, or a history of keloid, scleroderma or other collagen vascular disease.

MICRODERMABRASION (Diamond Microdermabrasion)

Microdermabrasion manually exfoliates the outermost layer of the skin, revealing skin that is clean, clear, refreshed, and relaxed.

A diamond microdermabrasion machine uses wands with tips covered in diamonds of varying size and coarseness, and is connected to a suction which enhances blood flow to the skin for further rejuvenation. Microdermabrasion procedures help improve the appearance of acne scars, dull skin, fine wrinkles, large pores, and skin pigmentation like age spots or melasma.

Microdermabrasion is a simple and painless clinic procedure, with no downtime — making it the perfect “lunch time” procedure for those wanting an immediate rejuvenated look. Treatment involves several sessions every few weeks with results seen after at least 3 consecutive sessions. Microdermabrasion also helps optimize the result of other procedures like chemical peels or laser or light procedures like BBL/Fotofacial.

Warning: Before a diamond microdermabrasion procedure, consult your doctor first to determine if it is safe for you, particularly if you are applying certain prescription skin medications or had a recent chemical peel or cosmetic procedure. Diamond microdermabrasion is not advised for patients who are pregnant, those with active skin infection or dermatitis, those with deep scars or keloids, autoimmune disease, and/or uncontrolled diabetes.
