Neuromodulators are drugs that inhibit the release of acetylcholine from the peripheral nerve endings. Injections in very small concentration with these purified proteins relaxe the muscles of the face by blocking the nerves that signal them to contract. Over the years, neuromodulation injection techniques have improved, giving you a natural look. If you are not interested in invasive surgery, this is a good option for you.
Injection works best on undesirable lines produced by facial movements such as smiling, frowning, squinting, etc., by softening and smoothening the appearance of the wrinkles, giving you a more youthful look.
Treatment is simple and safe when performed by a highly trained and qualified health professional. This procedure is well tolerated and with minimal discomfort. Expect to see results in a few days to over 1 week, which will last for 3 months to about 6 months.
Onabotulinumtoxin A, Botox®, is the first US FDA-approved botulinum toxin used for the treatment of wrinkles or rhytides. In Canada, Botox® cosmetics is approved to treat upper facial lines on the forehead, between the eyebrows, and around the eyes.
Botox®, has also been approved for many other indications, such as abnormal eye twitching (blepharospasm), overactive bladder, and chronic migraine headaches, to name a few. It is also approved for excessive underarm sweating that does not respond to topical agents.
DYSPORT Aesthetic, or Abobotulinumtoxin A, is indicated for temporary improvement in the appearance of glabellar lines. DYSPORT therapeutic, on the other hand, is approved for spasmodic wry neck and upper limb spasticity.
Incobotulinumtoxin A is a purified neurotoxin free from complexing proteins. Xeomin cosmetic is approved to improve appearance of lines between the eyebrows. It is also used for the treatment of facial tics, spasmodic wry neck and upper limb spasticity.
Warning: Before a neurotoxin injection, consult your doctor first to determine if it is safe for you, particularly if you have a pre-existing medical condition, or if you are taking prescription medications or herbal supplements. Neurotoxin is not advised for patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding, and those who have had an allergic reaction to the drug or its components.

Facial volume loss, wrinkles, prominence of facial lines or furrows, and sagging skin are among the most obvious signs of aging. These are the result from changes in the fat and other soft-tissue layers, bone remodelling of the face, damage of dermal collagen, and loss of skin elasticity.
Dermal filler injections are becoming increasingly popular solutions to correct and reverse these problems. Injected fillers like hyaluronic acid and calcium hydroxyapatite are naturally occurring substances that restore volume, smoothen lines and creases, and tighten lax skin, giving you a rejuvenated and youthful look.
Hyaluronic acid fillers (Juvéderm, Restylane, Teosyal, and Revanesse) help to plump up and hydrate your skin temporarily, with results lasting for 6 to 12 months. Calcium hydroxyapatite filler (Radiesse) not only enhances volume but also promotes new tissue growth, giving you a longer-lasting result of 12 months up to 3 years.
Dermal filler injections are effective and safe forms of cosmetic enhancement that also address issues such as lipoatrophy, depressed scars, and deep nasolabial folds. These fillers can also be used to contour the face and augment the lips or cheeks, helping you achieve facial harmony.
The type of skin concern you have determines which filler is the best solution for your particular need. Maximized aesthetic result is often achieved by combining these fillers with neurotoxins. We invite you to contact our team to learn how a customized plan can improve your skin.
Warning: Before a dermal filler injection, consult your doctor first to determine if it is safe for you, particularly if you have a pre-existing medical condition, are taking prescription medications or herbal supplements. Dermal fillers are not advised for patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding, those who have had an allergic reaction to the drug or its components, and those with collagen vascular diseases.

PLATELET RICH PLASMA INJECTION (ReGen Plasma®, Selphyl)
Platelet rich plasma, or PRP, is prepared by separating one’s own blood using a centrifuge to produce a highly concentrated blood product composed of platelets, fibrin, and other plasma proteins. Therapy involves re-injection of PRP into the desired treatment area, where it releases growth factors that trigger the proliferation of new cells (such as collagen, keratinocytes, fibroblasts, matrix proteins, etc.) responsible for regeneration and healing.
PRP injection is an up-and-coming approach to rejuvenation, battling the signs of aging such as wrinkles and sagging skin. PRP has also been used to improve skin concerns like melasma, acne scars, hair loss, stretch marks, and other skin diseases.
PRP treatment is non-invasive and safe. Autologous injection poses no serious adverse risks such as infection, allergic reaction, or rejection. The results are usually gradual, with improvements noted in about 3 to 5 weeks, and lasts up to 18 months.
Warning: Before a PRP injection, consult your doctor first to determine if it is safe for you, particularly if you have a pre-existing medical condition, are taking prescription medications like anticoagulants or herbal supplements. PRP is not advised for patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding, those with autoimmune diseases or cancer, and patients with implants in the treatment area.

DEOXYCHOLIC ACID INJECTION (BELKYRA®)
Deoxycholic acid, Belkyra®, is a synthetically derived compound that can permanently destroy fat cells.
This agent is the first clinically studied and approved treatment for submental fat, otherwise known as double chin. This treatment is a non-surgical solution to decreasing submental fullness, giving you a more defined chin and an improved overall face profile. Dr. Katipunan and Dr. Gooderham were involved in the phase 3 research program for the approval of Belkyra® for the indication of submental fat (double chin) reduction.
Deoxycholic acid injection is safe, effective, and generally well-tolerated in patients who want to have a youthful and better looking chin-neck area.
Treatment can range from 2 to 4 sessions, depending on the patient’s achievable desired effect. Results are seen in 4 to 6 weeks. Re-treatment is usually unnecessary once the patient’s target result is attained.
Warning: Before a Belkyra® injection, consult your doctor first to determine if it is safe for you, particularly if you have a pre-existing medical condition, are taking prescription medications or herbal supplements. Belkyra® is not advised for patients who have an infection in the treatment area.
