The best of you, naturally

The only system that allows truly natural tissue regeneration using the body’s own ability to stimulate collagen production. Selphyl System logo

A Difference You Can See...

The all natural Selphyl® System commonly referred to as “Regenerative Medicine” is a new proven technology to stimulate collagen and cell production to slow down the signs of aging. A small amount of the patient’s own blood is drawn and through a patented process we are able to separate the platelet-rich plasma (PRP). High concentration of Growth Factors contained in the plasma are injected and released into the skin triggering cell production to smooth and plump fine lines and crepey skin on the face and body. The Selphyl® System is being used by physicians worldwide for use in plastic surgery, orthopedics, maxillofacial surgery, and tissue regeneration.

Where is Selphyl applied?

The Selphyl® prepared Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is administered just below the surface of your skin. Safest and easiest solution for difficult corrections in delicate areas:

  • Decrease crepey skin under the eyes
  • Decrease crow’s feet
  • Decrease forehead and frown lines
  • Decrease upper lip lines
  • Decrease fine lines on the face, neck, chest and hands
  • Decrease indentations in the skin

This anti-aging treatment will provide a gradual increase in skin volume, tone and wrinkles overtime and desired results may last up to 18 months. Once the initial swelling goes down, it may take up to 3 weeks to see a pronounced difference. Results may be achieved in one visit, however it’s common to have 2 treatments with 6 weeks between injections.

Are there any side effects?

Selphyl is totally natural and does not contain any animal or synthetic components as it uses the patient’s own blood. There have been no reported allergic reactions to date nor have there been any noted side effects. However, you may experience some common reactions: mild irritation, swelling, bruising, edema, itching, discoloration or tenderness. These are temporary conditions and typically resolve within two days.

How is the treatment with the Selphyl® System performed?

The Selphyl® System is used by our dermatologist, physicians and dermatology assistants for the safe and quick collection of PRP (platelet rich plasma) using a small amount of the patient’s own blood. The patient's PRP is then injected just below the surface of the skin. The entire procedure takes about 30 minutes. We can use numbing cream during the treatment to ensure patient comfort.

What are the nicknames for Selphyl®?

SELPHYL®brand PRFM inspired the "Vampire Filler" and "Vampire Facelift™" names when it was introduced in the USA market in 2009 and featured in numerous print, radio and television broadcasts including The Rachael Ray Show and The Doctors. Released in Canada summer of 2010. FDA approved in 2002.
